How your today ends can highly effect how your tomorrow will begin. Don’t listen to that “tomorrow is a new day” bullcrap. Let’s feel better about ourselves now. Ending our day on a good note will ultimately lead to waking up with a smile on. It’s
cycle worth living, I tell ya. Here’s my top 4 tips on how to end your day on a good note!
1. Let it go.
We all have those days where we just didn’t quite finish our to-do lists. Which for some might not be a big deal, but for those of us who are OCD, it’s a huge deal. You may find yourself working late trying to cram it all in. I’m even guilty of this. But I’m telling you (and myself) to stop. It’s okay to be behind. Just let it go.
2. Make up.
So, since I’m married now, I guess I can give advice on married people things, right? Well, I’ve always lived by this, but especially now after being married it’s importance has grown. And no, I’m not talking about the makeup you wear on your face, I’m talking about making up. You know, that thing you do after an argument with your significant other. Oh dear, now you may think I’m talking about make up sex. No, no, no. Unless that’s what you’re into, then do as you please. What I’m trying to say is, don’t ever go to bed mad. Simple as that.
3. Take a moment.
Or two, or three, or four, or five. I typically like to take at least an hour before bed just for me. I’ll do whatever I want. There’s no rules here. As long as it’s not work related. As for my me time, it usually includes watching reality TV (my guilty pleasure) and playing Candy Crush. Oooh, and my current favorite, stepping outside to listen to the sounds of Summer. I love the warm air and the sounds the crickets and tree frogs make!
4. Make your bedroom your safe haven.
There’s nothing much better than plopping down on a bed that feels like a cloud. When my bedroom is tidy and basically just pretty to look at, it makes me all the more excited to end my days cuddled up in my cool sheets. Seriously though, make your bedroom your tranquil sanctuary.
