Back in the Fall of 2015, I had the pleasure of photographing Aimee and Craig’s engagement photos. And to this day that session is by far one of my favorites. They were an absolute dream to work with – so in tune and in love – and the location/lighting was PERFECT.
We were able to make that magic happen again a few weeks ago when I photographed their maternity photos. Yes! They’re expecting a precious baby boy this December. 🙂
You don’t have to say it. I already know. I’m a terrible blogger. At least I have been for awhile now. I’m inconsistent, uninspired, and just plain preoccupied with a million other things. And right now, those million other things are taking priority and I’m honestly not sure if that’s going to change anytime soon.
Last April when I accepted a job as a virtual assistant, I knew my business and blog would no longer be my number one priority when it comes to work and income. But I still knew I wanted to try and keep things alive here. And then when November rolled around and Austin and I found out we were pregnant, I knew my whole world was about to change and priorities would have a whole new meaning. I just didn’t realize how quickly it would happen.
Recently I spent a week in the sunshine state, also known as the beautiful Florida, and I took LOTS of pictures. I used to lug my giant DSLR camera around to every place I went, but with being pregnant and traveling without my luggage carrier (aka Austin), I decided to keep it simple this trip and just take whatever I could fit into one back pack. Not counting the suitcase I checked in (obviously – I’m no minimalist).
That being said, my handy-dandy iPhone camera was put to good use. And surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly – it is 2017 now) it takes pretty fantastic photos. And my favorite part? Being able to experiment with different apps when editing my photos.
